Seolipul Festival

In last August, Sehun (Founder & Executive Director) and Gino (Art Director) participated in the 2023 Seolipul Festival that had over 120K+ people visiting. We held a podcast booth to raise the deaf awareness and address the problems they face. After we co-hosted the podcast show of “Seocho Family Media Podcast, “ we collaborated with SOPA (School of Performing Arts Seoul) to have a dance performance that utilizes some sign language movement in the K-Pop song called “Permission to Dance” by BTS. While they were performing, I stayed in the back of the stage to translate some dance movements through sign language.

Had an incredible experience visiting Chungeum Rehabilitation Center, the first-ever rehab center for the hearing impaired! We explored cutting-edge hearing impairment technologies, delved into Deaf Studies, and coordinated our upcoming volunteering efforts. Grateful for this opportunity to learn and contribute!

Sign Language Golden Bell

Just wrapped up an amazing experience at the Sign Language Festival in Korea! 🇰🇷✨ It was a joy to be part of a celebration that highlights the beauty and importance of sign language. We connected with so many inspiring individuals and learned so much along the way. Grateful for this opportunity to support and embrace the Deaf community.

Korean Peninsula Hearing Loss Forum

Proud to share that Sehun Kim, Founder of Together For Deaf, participated in the Korean Peninsula Hearing Loss Forum 2023 held at National Assembly of Republic of Korea. The forum brought to light the urgent need to expand national healthcare insurance for cochlear implants, as many in the Deaf community face challenges due to the high costs. Currently, the nation’s healthcare insurance only covers 60% of the cost, once in a lifetime per individual, which is simply not enough. This powerful discussion has inspired me to launch campaigns raising.
